Positive Reinforcement and Down-time

We at D&K use the method of positive reinforcement in our training process. There are many types of training methods for dogs out there. But positive reinforcement is what we chose to use with our pups. This means that we use rewards and encouragement to help shape good habits for your pup. When the dog succeeds in their development we all succeed so we make sure to let the pups know when they are doing good.

During your pups first week with us we have a “down time”. This week allows your little guy to get to know us and feel comfortable with us. It is huge for all of us if the puppy trusts us before the work begins.
